Free Kids Zone Returns for All Three Days of the Summer Harvest Festival

The Summer Harvest Festival Kids Zone is returning for all three days of the festival, giving families plenty of opportunities to enjoy free activities throughout the weekend.

The Kids Zone will be open Friday, July 31, Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Activities will be located at the Hampshire County Public Library and in Calvert’s lot behind the library.

Thanks to the generous support of local businesses and organizations, all Kids Zone activities are completely free.

Free Activities All Weekend

Families can look forward to a variety of activities, including:

• Face painting

• Outdoor and indoor games

• Water slides

• The returning Barrel Train

• A visit from Smokey Bear

• Reptiles, snakes, spiders, and more

• Activities inside the library

The FNB team will also be at the library on Friday with ice cream as part of their annual library event.

Indoor restrooms will be available, and families will also be able to step inside the air-conditioned library to cool off during the day.

Important Water Slide Reminder

Children participating in the water slides should wear clothing without zippers. Zippers can damage the slides, so families are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Volunteers Are Needed

The Kids Zone depends on community volunteers to help activities run safely and smoothly throughout the weekend.

Volunteers are welcome to help for as little as one hour. Any amount of time would be greatly appreciated and will help make the Kids Zone a fun experience for local children and visiting families.
