Artisan Demonstrations Welcome!

We are proud to showcase talented artisans during the Summer Harvest Festival through live demonstrations that celebrate craftsmanship, creativity, and tradition. This featured area gives festival-goers the opportunity to watch skilled makers bring their work to life in real time on the lawn at Taggart Hall next to the Hampshire Co-op. To ensure a high-quality and engaging experience, demonstrations will be carefully reviewed and a limited number of artisans will be selected.

Be sure to review all materials carefully before submitting your application so you're fully prepared for an incredible festival weekend in downtown Romney! This years vendors will be showcased closer to the Festival as vendors are accepted. Be sure to follow us on our social media accounts for updates!

Artisan Demonstration Application

Taggart Hall Lawn – Downtown Romney, WV


Thank you for your interest in being part of the Summer Harvest Festival Artisan Live Demonstration Area. This special section highlights skilled artisans offering live, interactive demonstrations for festival attendees. Demonstrations will be held on the lawn at Taggart Hall, next to the Hampshire Co-op, during festival weekend.


Please note: Submissions will be reviewed and screened. We will only be accepting a small, curated group of artisans for this featured area to ensure a high-quality, engaging experience for our visitors.

Please note you will be invoiced to the email provided in this application upon approval. You must also have a permit with the Town of Romney for the year of 2026. Download here

By submitting this application, you acknowledge:

  • Submission does not guarantee acceptance.

  • Absolutely no political signs or products are allowed

  • Selected artisans will be contacted with confirmation and additional details.

  • You agree to conduct your demonstration safely and professionally.

  • You are responsible for your own setup, materials and equipment unless otherwise approved. Please note approved demonstrations may be eligible for funding for supplies through the Hampshire Co-op. This will be outlined if you are accepted.

  • All applications an payment MUST be received prior to July 15th for potential participation.

  • Booth fees are due during the application process. Any unpaid applications will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered. There will be a $30 returned payment fee for any returned checks.

  • All products/services offered for sale must be the same products indicated in your application. Any items not listed may be required to be removed.

  • Unruly behavior (including but not limited to intoxication, verbal abuse or threatening behaviors) will not be tolerated and are cause for immediate removal from the grounds.

  • You are responsible for removing all trash, displays, equipment, vehicles and the like erected or placed on the premises at the end of an event. Anything left behind is subject to disposal.

  • The Event Vendor Committee will have sole discretion to approve or reject an application. All items to be sold are subject to approval by the Event Vendor Committee.

  • This is an all-outdoor festival. No inside vendor spaces will be available. Festival is to be held rain or shine and regardless of temperature. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
